DURGA MANDIR was established in January 1998 and it held the “PRAN PRATHISHTHA” ceremonies of several deities in May 2001 in the new building of the temple. The temple has since then been holding religious and cultural functions every year and several renowned singers and artists from India have been visiting the Temple over the last seven years. The temple has also welcomed many “swamis”, and learned religious leaders from India for “parvachens” and religious lectures.

The temple is now in the process of building a commercial kitchen, dining hall and community hall to serve the community effectively. With the completion of the kitchen project, temple devotees will have an opportunity to use the community hall facilities for private functions, and new ambience in the building will make the temple facilities more attractive for the community members. With added facilities, the community can take pride in creating nice facilities for religious, cultural and private functions.

The temple is in immediate need of financial support of the community to complete the kitchen project and also renovate outside of the building to look like a Temple from outside. Your donations can be mailed to the Temple on the above address. A receipt for your donation for tax purposes will be mailed to you.

The Temple Management also requests devotees to volunteer their services for different programs in the Temple, and the Temple also needs volunteers to maintain the facilities. Anyone interested in the volunteer services may contact the priest in the Temple or any member of the Board of Trustees.
